Snakes and Ladders: The Game of Knowledge

Before being a Western game mostly played by children, Snakes and Ladders used to be called Gyan chauper, the Game of knowledge.

The aim is to reach for the 68th Square, the Square of Cosmic Consciousness.

Players throw a single die and advance accordingly.

Each square of the game contains a lesson about the universe. Each square is a message from fate.

Some squares have ladders that will rise the player up.

Some squares have snakes that will bring the player down.

Ladders are good encouragements.

Snakes are valuable lessons.

It is often that players find themselves falling upon the same squares, and being bitten by the same snakes.
